What is the St. Elizabeth School and Parish Gala?

The Gala is the school’s most important, and biggest fundraiser.  This event raises funds that directly impact our children.  The proceeds are dedicated to expanding educational opportunities.

 

Who organizes the Gala?

The Gala is organized by the parent community working closely with the school administration and the Development Office.  There are parent co-chairs and a gala committee made up of parent volunteers.  Everyone in the St. Elizabeth School community is welcome and encouraged to volunteer to help make this event a success.

 

How can I help?

First, we hope everyone will attend the Gala.  However, whether you are attending the Gala or not, there are many ways to support this event.  We would love to have 100% participation from our school families!  Please remember that 50% of any donation, sponsorship or advertisement can be counted toward your family’s fundraising obligation.  You can help by:

 

How do I make a donation, or purchase a sponsorship or an advertisement?

You can stop by the Development Office to pick up an applicable form or download it here.

Bring completed forms to the Development Office along with donated items, or payment for your sponsorship or advertisement (made payable to St. Elizabeth School with Gala 2010 in the memo line).  If you are donating a service and have literature you would like displayed at the Gala, please bring it to the Development Office.

 What else can I do to support the Gala? 

 

Where is the Gala held?

The Gala will be held at St. Elizabeth School.  The evening will include a silent auction, live auction, plenty to eat and drink and a live band.  This event is a great opportunity to get together with your friends, meet new people and have fun while raising funds for our kids.

 

Who can attend the Gala?

This is an adults-only event open to school parents, school and parish staff, and members of the parish, all of whom are welcome to invite friends and adult family members as well.  The more, the merrier!

 

Where can I buy tickets and how much are they?

Invitations will be mailed to school parents several weeks prior to the Gala and will be available in the Commons of St. Elizabeth Church as well.  The invitation and reply card will also be posted on the school website where you can download it, print it and send it in to the Development Office.  The $80 ticket price (per person) includes entrance to the auction and dinner.  You will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets for faculty members.  Please remember that 50% of your ticket purchases can be counted toward your family’s fundraising obligation.

 

Is there a catalog of items being auctioned?

A printed auction catalog will be sent home prior to Gala night to those who have purchased tickets.  The catalog will also be available on the school website (if you see something you would like, but you cannot attend the Gala, pre-arrange to have someone bid for you!).  Please remember that 50% of any purchases at the Gala (raffle tickets or silent or live auction items) can be counted toward your fundraising obligation.
