Dear Parents/Guardians:
We are in the process of
preparing for the Fall 2007-2008 opening of the St.
Elizabeth Catholic School Extended Care Program (ESP).
The purpose of this letter is
to give you a brief outline of our program along with the opportunity to
register your child or children for the upcoming academic year. Students who are currently enrolled in the Program
for the 2006-2007 will be able to re-register for next year. You will have priority placement until
Friday, May 4th, at which time the registration is open on a
first-come first-serve basis.
Students shall continue to
meet for check-in, take a recreation time in the gymnasium or on the athletic
field, followed by a snack time. The students with homework continue to meet
for homework time Monday through Thursday in room 104. Students without homework shall meet in room
103 where they can read, play games, or draw.
Students in grades 2-4 shall have a mandatory quiet/study period for the
first 25 minutes of homework time.
Students in grades 5-8 shall have a mandatory 40-minute quiet study
period. Should students finish their
written assignments, they are expected to study for upcoming quizzes or
tests. We believe students must continue
to have a fundamental value of reading, as well as preparation and study,
reinforced during the Extended Care Program.
After the mandatory quiet study times, students in each group who are
finished with homework may report to room 103 for general recreation. Friday is a “fun day” when a G-rated movie is
shown for the enjoyment of the children.
The registration form for the
2007-2008 academic year has been posted on the website
for your convenience. Once we receive your completed registration form along
with the non-refundable $50.00 per child registration deposit, the necessary
paperwork to complete registration will be sent to you via the mail.
Morning care will be from
7:00am-8:10 am and afternoon care will be from dismissal until 6:00pm on
regular school days and form 12:30-4:30pm on scheduled half-days. In case of a weather emergency, aftercare
will be offered for two hours past the close of school. There will be no morning care on days with a
delayed opening.
Pre-billing
will occur on a monthly basis for the number of days in the month. The rate for
morning care will be $30.00 per week.
The rate for the five-day aftercare program is $80.00 per week and the
rate for the three-day program is $50.00 per week. There is no multiple-child discount for
extended School Program.
Yours
in Christ,
Mr. Vincent Spadoni Ms. Deirdre Schroeder Mr. Joel Million
