Volunteers Needed for the Junior Achievement Program

St. Elizabeth will celebrate its 5th year of offering the Junior Achievement program to students grades kindergarten through 5th.   This popular program is made possible by the many committed parents who help to teach the programs.  We are looking for volunteers for this year.  Here is what is involved:

You'll be teaching five 30-45 minute lessons during the school day. Volunteers coordinate with the classroom teacher to determine the exact time of day and day of the week that you'll visit the classroom. All JA volunteers are provided with training by JA staff and lesson plans/activities that are provided in an easy-to-follow guidebook with supplemental materials..  JA will be taught in the final quarter of the school year.

JA is a partnership between the business community, educators, and volunteers — all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential.  JA’s hands-on, experiential programs teach the key concepts of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to young people all over the world.  For more information, visit www.myJA.org/programs.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Lynette Grenier at edandlynette@comcast.net .  Indicate what class you would like to teach.  Volunteers are taken on a first come, first serve basis.  Thank you.
